We protect what matters most to the people who own it. At our dedicated studio in Murarrie, we apply XPEL clear film, GYEON ceramic coatings and Menzerna paint correction to keep your car in the condition it deserves. Whether you are protecting a new delivery or restoring a car that has been through the wars, we hold one standard: the best protection available, applied properly.

BRISBANE'S CERTIFIED PROTECTION

A Studio Built for One Thing

We started with one idea: if someone cares enough about their car to protect it properly, they deserve a studio that holds the same standard they do. That idea has not changed in 21 years.

Robert heads the studio at Murarrie. Curtis leads detailing. Together with Chris, they have worked on everything from daily drivers freshly off the lot to imported prestige vehicles that crossed an ocean. Our process is deliberate. We assess every panel before we touch it, correct anything that needs correcting, and then apply the protection suited to what the car actually needs.

We are authorised installers for XPEL and certified applicators for GYEON quartz. Those are not marketing claims. They are manufacturer-backed qualifications that carry real warranties, and they are the reason we can stand behind every job we complete.

We can help you protect your car from new and keep that new car feeling alive for years not weeks. · Auto Protective · homepage value proposition

What We Do, and Why It Matters

Paint protection film, ceramic coatings, paint correction, interior and wheel protection. All done in-studio, to one standard.

01

Paint Protection FilmBy quote

XPEL ULTIMATE clear film is installed over the panels most exposed to stone chips, road debris and abrasion. It forms a near-invisible barrier that absorbs impact before it reaches the paint, and its self-healing top coat means that minor surface scuffs disappear with heat. We offer partial front-end coverage through to full-vehicle wraps. Every XPEL installation is manufacturer-backed with a 5 or 10 year warranty, applied by a certified XPEL installer.

02

Ceramic CoatingBy quote

GYEON ceramic coatings bond chemically to your car's clear coat, creating a layer of protection that a traditional wax or sealant cannot match. The coating is chemical resistant, UV stable and hydrophobic. GYEON Mohs+ is the flagship product we apply most often: infra-red cured, dense and built to last in Queensland conditions. For any car spending time in Queensland's harsh sun, ceramic coating is the most cost-effective long-term surface protection available.

03

Paint CorrectionBy quote

If your paint carries swirl marks, fine scratches, water spotting or oxidisation, they need to be corrected before any ceramic or PPF goes over the top. Locking defects under a coating preserves them. We use Menzerna polishing compounds in a staged machine-correction process to bring the paint surface to where it should be before we seal it. If your car is new and in excellent condition, we will tell you and go straight to coating. If it is not, we correct it first. The correction step is how you protect the value of whatever protection investment comes next.

04

Interior ProtectionBy quote

We treat leather, vinyl and trim surfaces with Nanolex to protect against UV degradation, discolouration and wear. This matters most for light-coloured interiors, for new cars spending their first Queensland summer in the driveway, and for any vehicle where the interior condition is part of what you paid for. Interior protection pairs naturally with a full exterior coating package and we include it as an option at the quote stage for most jobs.

05

Wheel CoatingBy quote

GYEON Rim ceramic wheel coating creates a slick, sealed surface that prevents brake dust and road grime from bonding to the alloy. Cleaning becomes dramatically easier and the alloy finish is protected from the corrosive compounds that accelerate wear on uncoated wheels. We apply GYEON Rim to all four wheels and include it as an add-on option with most full coating packages.

"We have just seen our new Roush Mustang, with a full vehicle wrap of Xpel Ultimate, and it lives up to, and exceeds all our expectations. From our very first contact with Robert Dolley we have been given great customer service, advice and information about the Xpel range . We chose to go with a full wrap and interior protection in order to protect the vehicle from general wear and tear, stone chips, bugs, tar and shopping centre dings!. The professionalism, workmanship, care and attention to detail displayed by Robert and his head detailer, Curtis, could not be faulted. We would recommend this business to anyone wanting the best protection for their pride and joy."

"When I got my new A45, after waiting 5 months for it to arrive, the first place I visited was Rob at Auto Protective and the guys at Car Care Products. Rob did an amazing job applying Gyeon Mohs+ paint protection, Gyeon Rim wheel coating and Nanolex throughout the leather interior. It looked a million dollars when I picked it up. THANKS!!"

"Imported my irreplaceable pride and joy, only to have it arrive with the paintwork scratched up from the logistics. I searched across SE QLD for a detailer to correct the paintwork with only the very best industry practices I had experienced overseas. Rob and Chris, on short notice and within a day, worked miracles to restore it to showroom condition. True enthusiasts, trustworthy and knowledgeable, Auto Protective will be looking after my car for good. Second to none."

Common Questions, Straight Answers

What is the difference between paint protection film and ceramic coating?
Paint protection film is a physical barrier. It absorbs stone chips, road debris and surface impacts before they reach the paint. XPEL ULTIMATE is a self-healing polyurethane film that restores itself from minor scuffs with heat.

Ceramic coating is a chemical bond applied over the clear coat. It creates a hydrophobic, UV-stable and chemically resistant surface that repels contamination and holds gloss over years rather than weeks. GYEON ceramic coatings do not absorb physical impact: they protect the surface from environmental and chemical attack.

Many owners choose both: PPF on the panels most exposed to impact (bonnet, front bumper, mirrors, sills), ceramic coating over the remaining panels and over the top of the PPF itself. We will recommend the combination that suits your car, how you use it and what it is worth to you to protect it.
How long does the installation take?
It depends on the service and the car. As a general guide: partial-front PPF installation typically takes one to two days. A full-vehicle XPEL wrap is a three to five day job. A GYEON ceramic coating, including any paint correction first, takes one to three days. We will confirm the exact timeframe for your specific car when you enquire.
What warranty comes with XPEL PPF and GYEON ceramic?
XPEL ULTIMATE paint protection film carries a manufacturer warranty of 5 or 10 years depending on the product tier selected. GYEON ceramic coatings carry a manufacturer warranty that varies by product. As a certified XPEL installer and GYEON applicator, every product we apply is manufacturer-backed. The warranty travels with the car, not the owner. We will confirm the specific warranty for your chosen product at the quote stage.
Will PPF or ceramic coating affect my car's resale value?
For most owners, yes. PPF and ceramic coating preserve the paint in the condition it was in at the time of application. At resale, documented protection work from a certified installer is a verifiable asset, particularly in the Brisbane prestige and performance market where buyers are informed and paint condition matters. A car with a clean, protected paint record stands out against comparable vehicles that have had years of Queensland sun without protection.
Do I need paint correction before a ceramic coating?
It depends on the condition of your paint. Ceramic coating bonds to the surface it is applied to. If that surface has existing swirl marks, fine scratches or surface contamination, the coating locks them in rather than hiding them. We assess every car before we start and advise on what correction, if any, is needed. If your car is new and in excellent condition, we may go straight to coating. If it is not, we correct it first.
Does XPEL PPF actually self-heal?
XPEL ULTIMATE has a self-healing clear coat layer. Minor surface scuffs and light scratches in the film surface will disappear with heat exposure, from direct sun or warm water. This keeps the film optically clear over its life without polishing or replacement. Deeper cuts through to the adhesive layer are not self-healing, but at that point the film has already done its job: it absorbed the impact instead of the paint.
I have just taken delivery of a new car. What would you recommend?
The sooner the better. A new car has paint in the best condition it will ever be in. Applying protection at delivery locks in that condition before the Brisbane sun, the car parks and the road do their work. For new deliveries, we most commonly recommend XPEL PPF on the front-end panels most exposed to stone chips, GYEON ceramic coating over the remaining paintwork, and GYEON Rim on the alloys. Interior protection is worth considering at the same time. Call Robert and we will talk through what makes sense for your specific car.
