Paint Protection Film

Paint Protection Film is a clear thermoplastic urethane film bonded directly to the paint surface. It absorbs stone chips, road debris, bug acids and minor abrasion before any of it reaches the clear coat. XPEL Ultimate is self-healing · light surface scratches close under heat and vanish. Every installation is backed by a manufacturer warranty: five or ten year options depending on the coverage selected.

Ceramic Coating

GYEON ceramic coatings bond to the paint at a molecular level, creating a hard, chemical-resistant surface that repels water, road grime, bird acid and Queensland's harsh sun far longer than wax or sealant ever could. We specify the right GYEON product tier to the car's use, age and existing paint condition · from GYEON Mohs+ for maximum protection on a new or freshly corrected vehicle, through to maintenance-grade coatings for daily drivers. Wheel coatings (GYEON Rim) and glass treatments are available as add-ons. Ceramic coating is always applied to prepared paint · if the surface needs correction first, we say so before we start.

Paint Correction

Paint correction removes the swirl marks, light scratches, water spots and oxidation that accumulate in clear coat over time. We use a machine polishing process · single stage for mild surface defects, multi-stage for more significant paint degradation or pre-coating preparation work. Correction is the mandatory step before any ceramic coating or PPF installation on anything less than factory fresh paint. It is also the discipline where the difference between a competent studio and a careful one becomes visible. We have restored imported vehicles to showroom condition on short notice. Interior Protection

We treat leather seats, leather-trimmed dashboards and textile upholstery with coatings that repel spills, UV fade and daily wear. Nanolex interior products are specified for full leather environments. The result is a cabin that wipes clean and holds its condition the same way the exterior does · so the investment in outside protection is matched inside, where the car is actually lived in.

What is the difference between paint protection film and ceramic coating?
Paint protection film (PPF) is a physical barrier · a clear film bonded to the paint surface that absorbs stone chips, road debris and minor abrasion before they reach the clear coat. Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that cures to a semi-permanent hard layer, giving chemical resistance, hydrophobic behaviour and a deeper gloss. They solve different problems. PPF is the right choice when the primary risk is physical impact: front-end stone chips, car park dings, rock debris at highway speed. Ceramic is the right choice when the priority is chemical protection and long-term surface maintenance. Many clients on higher-value vehicles choose both.
How long does an installation take?
PPF on a full front end typically takes one to two days depending on the vehicle and coverage scope. A full vehicle wrap can take three to five days. Ceramic coating is always applied to prepared paint, so a correction stage is often included · allow two to four days for a combined correction and coating job. We will give you a clear timeframe when you enquire, not a rushed estimate over the phone.
What warranty comes with the work?
XPEL Ultimate film carries a manufacturer warranty for film performance · five or ten year options depending on the coverage package. GYEON ceramic coatings carry manufacturer warranty terms tied to the specific product tier applied. Both warranties are backed by our certified installer status · the manufacturer warranty chain exists because we are a certified applicator, and that is not something a non-certified shop can offer.
Can you work on an older or already-used vehicle?
Yes. Paint correction is one of our core services and it is how we prepare older or damaged paint for coating or film work. The condition of the paint matters more than the age of the car. We have restored imported vehicles that arrived with significant paint damage and returned them to showroom condition. If you are not sure what state your paint is in, bring it in for an assessment before committing to a package.
How do I look after the car after installation?
The first two weeks after a ceramic coating are the curing period · avoid high-pressure washing and do not allow bird droppings or tree sap to sit on the surface. After the coating has cured, the surface is chemical-resistant and significantly easier to maintain than bare paint. We provide care instructions with every job. PPF can be washed normally once the film has had 24 hours to fully bond to the paint.
Do I need to book ahead?
Yes. Robert and Curtis take a limited number of jobs at a time to maintain the standard of work. For full vehicle PPF or multi-stage correction jobs, book as early as possible. Call Robert directly to discuss timing: 0415 992 992.
